Brioche Buns

Brioche buns are perfect for sandwiches, burgers or just Jam.

Have you ever tried making Brioche? Give it a try, you will love it!!


To activate the yeast

  • 3/4 cup warm whole milk

  • 1 tbsp Sugar

  • 2tsp Dry active yeast

To make the dough

  • 4 1/2 cups All-purpose flour

  • 3 tbsp Sugar

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 4 eggs, beaten

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

For Egg wash

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • Sesame Seeds


  • In a small bowl, add milk, sugar and yeast.

  • Give to a good stir, keep it aside for 5minutes until it gets frothy.

  • In a mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, salt and make a well with a spatula.

  • Add the yeast mixture, softened Butter and eggs into the flour.

  • Knead the dough until it is soft and smooth.

  • Place the dough ball into a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and keep it in a warm place for an hour.

  • The dough will double up in size.

  • Divide the dough into 8 equal parts, roll them into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 30 to 50 minutes.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F

  • Brush each bun with egg wash and sprinkle with Sesame seeds.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until they are golden brown.


Cool completely and store them in an airtight plastic bag for up to 3-4 days.
