If you have ripe guavas, then this is the perfect recipe for you.
Ingredients
6-7 Ripe Guavas
1/2 cup Sugar
2tbsp Lemon Juice
Method
Wash the guavas and cut them into small pieces.
Take the guavas into a large pot and add enough water to cover the guava pieces.
Cook for about 30 minutes until the guavas look soft.
Let it cool completely, scoop out the seeds using a spoon from guava pieces.
Transfer the guavas pieces to a blender, blend until it looks like a fine puree.
Return the guava mix to the saucepan, add sugar and lime juice.
Let it cook on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
The jam will be ready when it has reached a thick consistency and another indication is when you can see the bottom of the saucepan while stirring the jam.
Once it is done, turn off the flame,
Transfer to a storage jar. Let it cool to room temperature and store in refrigerator.
Spread on toast and enjoy.
Note: Use only ripe Guavas.
