Ladi Pav - Dinner Rolls
1 cup Milk
2 tsp Sugar
1 Active Yeast packet
3 cups Maida
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Butter, softened
1 tsp Baking powder
In a bowl, add warm milk, sugar and Dry yeast. Mix well
Activate the yeast by letting it sit for 5-10minutes. After 10 minutes it will become all frothy and bubbly.
If the yeast does not foam or bubble, discard the yeast and start over.
In a mixing bowl, add flour, salt, baking powder, butter and the yeast mixture. Knead the dough for at least 5-10minutes. The dough should be smooth.
Cover the dough with a cloth and rest for 2 hours in a warm place. The dough will double in size.
Divide the dough into 12 equal parts. Place the dough balls into a greased pan.
Brush the dough with milk.
Cover it with cling wrap and allow to rest for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven at 400F and bake them for 15 minutes.
Brush the freshly baked Pav's with butter & cover with a wet cloth.
