My mom's special semiya is a quick and simple recipe that is delicious. The sour-tangy taste of lemon and garam masala flavor make this dish really mouth-watering.

Ingredients
2 cups Semiya/Vermicelli
2 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
4-5 Green chilies, slit
4-5 Dry Red chilies
1 tsp Chana dal
2 tbsp Cashews
1 sprig Curry leaves
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
4 tbsp Lemon juice
Salt to taste
3 cups Water
Method
Take a pan and fry vermicelli until it turns light golden brown.
Boil 3 cups of water in a separate pan along with salt, add vermicelli and cook until is done.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, green chilies, red chilies, cashews, turmeric powder and curry leaves.
Now add vermicelli and mix well. Turn off the flame.
Add lemon juice and garam masala powder, mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot.
