Semiya with a twist

My mom's special semiya is a quick and simple recipe that is delicious. The sour-tangy taste of lemon and garam masala flavor make this dish really mouth-watering.

  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 4-5 Green chilies, slit

  • 4-5 Dry Red chilies

  • 1 tsp Chana dal

  • 2 tbsp Cashews

  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder

  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice

Method
  • Take a pan and fry vermicelli until it turns light golden brown.

  • Boil 3 cups of water in a separate pan along with salt, add vermicelli and cook until is done.
