Spinach Paneer Burji

Spinach Paneer Burji is a healthy and delicious Indian dish made with spinach and crumbled paneer.

Yield: 4 servings


  • 8oz Paneer/Cottage cheese

  • 1 bunch Fresh spinach

  • 1 Onion, finely chopped

  • 1 Tomato, finely chopped

  • 1tsp Red chili powder

  • 1 tsp Coriander powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin powder

  • 1 tsp Amchur powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil

  • 1tbsp Lemon juice

  • Salt to taste

  • Coriander leaves to garnish


  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds.

  • Add finely chopped onions and fry until they turn golden brown.

  • Add finely chopped tomatoes to it and sauté until the tomatoes turn soft.

  • Next add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and amchur powder.

  • Now add the chopped spinach to it and cook till it turns soft.

  • Mix everything well and continue to cook the masala for a minute.

  • Crumble the paneer and add it to the pan. Mix well and cook for just 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Turn off the heat. Add lemon juice and mix well.

  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Roti or Naan.
